1941

  • 13-3-1941: A fellowship conference was held at Vidyapith under the chairmanship of Shri Ravishankar Maharaj.
  • 27-12-1941: A fellowship conference was held at Vidyapith under the chairmanship of Shri Swami Anand.

1942

  • 9-8-1942: The workers and students of Vallabh Vidyalaya, Bochasan joined the Quit India Movement. As a result, the school's educational activities were suspended.
  • 12-8-1942: Vidyapith was closed in the context of the Quit India Movement.
  • 13-8-1942: Shri Maganbhai Desai, the secretary of the Vidyapith, was arrested. Before his arrest, he addressed the students and faculty with a message.

1944

  • 10-6-1944: A meeting of Vidyapith Board was held to reconsider the operational methods.
  • 2-12-1944 to 4-12-1944: A conference of student workers from Gujarat and Kathiawar was organized at Vidyapith under the chairmanship of Shri Indravadan Thakor.

1945

  • 15-8-1945: VallabhVidyalaya, Bochasan was restarted.

1946

  • January 1946: Shri JivtramBhagwandasKriplani visited Vidyapith and interacted with the students.
  • 14-1-1946: Shri Morarjibhai Desai was appointed to Vidyapith Board.
  • 14-3-1946: The Gujarat Hindustani Propagation Committee was established.
  • 5-5-1946: The first meeting of the Gujarat Hindustani Propagation Committee was held at Vidyapith.
  • 5-12-1946: A meeting of the Mahadev Desai Memorial Trust was held in Mumbai under the chairmanship of Shri Vallabhbhai Patel.
  • 25-12-1946: A report by the committee appointed by the Mahadev Desai Memorial Trust was published, which included recommendations regarding the responsibilities of Gujarat Vidyapith.
  • 30-12-1946: Shri Vallabhbhai Patel delivered a lecture at Vidyapith before Congress workers.

1947

  • 16-1-1947: The Mumbai Government recognized the Gujarat Vidyapith Library as a regional library for Gujarati language texts.
  • 15-6-1947: A new school following the Wardha method was started for students who passed class four in Gujarati at Vallabh Vidyalaya, Bochasan, offering classes from 5 to 7.
  • 28-6-1947: The Mahadev Desai College of Social Service was inaugurated.
  • 28-6-1947: Shri MaganbhaiPrabhudas Desai served as the Principal of Mahadev Desai College of Social Service.
  • 29-6-1947 to 17-6-1961: Shri Morarjibhai Desai delivered auspicious lectures to the students of Mahadev Desai College of Social Service.
  • 23-7-1947 to 6-11-1947: Following the approval of the policy for universalizing the Wardha education scheme by the Mumbai Government, the Vidyapith started a three-and-a-half-month primary teacher training program, inaugurated by Shri Narharibhai Parikh.
  • 17-8-1947: A message sent by Shri Vallabhbhai Patel for the handwritten edition of 'Swaraj Sevak' by the students of Mahadev Desai College of Social Service was published in 'Harijanbandhu.'
  • 15-12-1947 to 31-3-1948: The second batch of the primary education industry training was organized, with the inauguration by Shri Manilal Chaturbhai Shah.

1948

  • 30-1-1948: The founder and Chancellor of the Vidyapith, Mahatma Gandhi, passed away.
  • 12-2-1948: An assembly of old and new teachers, administrators, and students of the Vidyapith, chaired by Pandit Shri Sukhlalji, paid tribute to the Chancellor, Gandhiji.
  • 6-1948: Students took exams at home after self-preparation. To facilitate admission to Mahadev Desai College of Social Service, a preliminary examination was initiated.
  • 14-6-1948: Shri VallabhbhaiJhaverbhai Patel served as the Chancellor of Vidyapith.
  • 14-6-1948: Shri Morarjibhai Ranchhodji Desai served as the Vice-Chancellor of Vidyapith.
  • 14-6-1948: The Gujarat Kumar Mandir was re-established.
  • 14-6-1948 to 31-5-1954: Shri Shankarbhai Bhikhabhai Patel served as the Principal of Gujarat Kumar Mandir.
  • 27-10-1948: The Mumbai Government recognized the degrees of Gujarat Vidyapith.
  • 1-12-1948 to 3-12-1948: The annual meeting of the All India National Trade Union Congress was held at the Vidyapith.

1949

  • 16-1-1949: Shri BalasahebKher inaugurated the Gujarati Copyright Department at the Gujarat Vidyapith Library.
  • 12-2-1949: During his visit to Ahmedabad, Jawaharlal Nehru addressed a gathering of Gujarat workers at the Vidyapith.
  • 13-5-1949: At VallabhVidyalaya, Bochasan, Shri RavishankarMaharaj delivered a lecture in the industry training class for Gujarat's deputies.
  • 11-1949: Mr. Reginald Reynolds visited Vidyapith.
  • 4-12-1949: A conference of Hindustani propagators from Gujarat was held at the Vidyapith, chaired by Mr. Morarjibhai Desai.
  • 5-12-1949: At the Mahadev Desai Sevak Conference held at the Vidyapith, Mr. Morarjibhai Desai gave a speech.

1950

  • 6-2-1950: Mr. Divakar, head of the Information and Radio Department of the Government of India, visited the Vidyapith.
  • 15-2-1950: On the death anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi, a program was held under the chairmanship of Shri Shankarlal Benker.
  • 16-4-1950: Under the chairmanship of Mr. Morarji Desai, Vidyapith held a graduation conference and the first affection conference of the Mahadev Desai College of Social Service.
  • 25-5-1950: Morarjibhai Desai wrote the preface to the book "Kedavni Vade Kranti" under the title "Meri Binati".
  • 6-1950: The Gujarat VinayMandir was reopened.
  • 26-8-1950: The completion of a special three-and-a-half-month training course for school inspectors was held at Vallabh Vidyalaya, Bochasan.
  • 18-10-1950: Dr. Rajendra Prasad released the book "Kranti by Education" (Kedavni Vade Kranti).
  • 29-10-1950: Under the chairmanship of Shri Vallabhbhai Patel and in the presence of Shri Morarji Desai, Vidyapith held its eleventh convocation ceremony, where graduates of the Mahadev Desai College of Social Service received their degrees for the first time.
  • 15-12-1950: The second Chancellor of the Vidyapith, Shri Vallabhbhai Patel, passed away.
  • 24-12-1950: A condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shri Narharibhai Parekh on the occasion of Shri Vallabhbhai Patel's death.
