The Syllabus is updated from time to time to accommodate dynamic economic scenarios. Moreover, the harmonious inter-community relationships for emotional integration are in the genesis of department's teaching pedagogy. Practice of truth, non-violence, use of Khadi etc. has been inculcated in the syllabus. The department's syllabi are rural centric and inclusive, making courses more practical and outcome oriented. The department has huge alumni based at various formal and informal levels of academics that helps in broadening economic vision with Gandhi's perspectives at its center.
