Prakashan Mandir
Among Gujarat Vidyapith's foundational pillars, the Vidyapith Prakashan Mandir holds a key position. Rooted in the vision of Mahatma Gandhi, who effectively employed journalism during the struggle against racial injustice in South Africa to awaken public consciousness, the Vidyapith has accorded sustained importance to publication activities since its establishment in Ahmedabad in 1920.
Distinct from conventional publishing institutions, Vidyapith Prakashan Mandir operates with a broader educational and cultural mandate. Its publications encompass curriculum-oriented materials for learners ranging from pre-primary to doctoral levels, alongside works on Gandhian thought, nation-building, linguistic development, and the cultural heritage of Gujarat and India.
