Established in 1968 with the support of the UGC, the Department of Gandhian Studies aims to explore the multifaceted dimensions of Gandhian thought, conduct research, and provide an intellectual foundation for extension activities. From 1968 to 2016, we offered an M.A. (Correspondence) Course in Gandhian Thought, and since 2016, we have introduced a Regular M.A. in Gandhian Studies.
Additionally, we launched an International Course titled "Gandhian Non-violence: Theory and Application" in 2011, which has attracted 91 students from 21countries. Our department also offers Ph.D. programs, with 20 students having completed their Ph.D. and 60 students earning their M.Phil in Gandhian Thought from India and abroad since its establishment

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline with 50 percent marks
Duration: Two Year ( 4 semester) as per NEP
